  • hey had a brachial plexus injury also but the doctors say they dont know y i still have feeling in my arm did u ???

  • @ceeze97

Yes and no, I had pins and needles feeling only when some one or something touched my arm. Now march 14, 2010 I have feeling to my elbow from my shoulder kinda returned to normal.

  • @ceeze97

I can tell you why you have feeling or sensation, the nerves in your arm, theres five nerves that come out of your spine, then they go down to three which is called the brachial plexus then back to five,...some control your motor skills when others are for feeling. and nerves are kinda like roots from a tree your back is the tree and they are all kinda interlinked so, with out knowing which nerves you hurt its hard to tell you why.

    hope this helped.

  • i had a motorcycle accident too.

    same thing, brachial plexus injury.

    how bad was your injury?

    thanks for sharing

  • @chileRemoto

1% that I would ever move it.I was bad I hit a tree and ripped everything,....they took nerves out of my left leg and giraffed them in. .....theres hope just try your hardest and don't give up,......so many times I wanted to give up but never did!!

  • hello there :) am vyshnavi aged 23... i was thrown off the bike while i was riding pillon ... i had a devastating brachial plexus injury ... C6,C7,C8 n T1 avulsion . i underwent a nerve grafting surgery 4 weeks ago n still see no signs of recovery .. i do aggressive physio therapy everyday . please tell me how long did it take to see ur first sign of recovery post operation ?

  • Hey i had same injury. 'got' it from a bike accident also. Here is my status: I can feel some parts and have some moves, but my forearm and finger are most injuried. My elbow also dont move, so its dificult to use my arm. My radial nerve is the most affected, so my thumb is 'dead'. But I'm starting to have some biceps contractions and doc said it's is so good. Since 2008 I'm in that condition and I hope we all get back to 'normal' life. We could exgange some experiences and talk more about that.

  • hi man ...hv same kinda injury .. my nerves roots were fine but branches were damaged and was not able to move my hand .. so 4 long grafts r there 22,25,20,40 cms.was operated on Sep 2010 now except writ n finger all movement r normal.. these days i can see little finger movement... Do more n more exercise n do stimulation daily

  • Awesome to see you proving them wrong! 8 weeks ago I hit a deer on my bike at 120km/h and have b.p.i. too, though not as severe as yours. Legitbeast999: don't cancel your sports career yet - nerves can re-grow. Muscles will get their strength back. If your joints are stiff from lack of movement, this can be worked on too. Keep telling yourself that you can... no, WILL... do it, and be patient, it likely won't happen as fast as you'd like.

  • hi buddy!! congrats for that achievement. By the way...what happened to you? I mean how was the accident and tell us if you received surgery after that and ohter importan things you wanna share.....
