AFSCME 3299 President Lakesha Harrison Speaks Out

Recently, President Yudof made a number of mischaracterizations about what the University has said and done regarding furloughs, layoffs, and service cutbacks.

As such, AFSCME 3299 President Lakesha Harrison has issued a statement, clarifying the University's behavior over the past months--behavior which has sent OUR public university into a downward spiral of rising student fees, service cuts, and poverty conditions for working families.

Unless UC students, workers and the people of California stop them, it's clear the Yudof administration will destroy the University as we know it, leaving Californians with an unaccountable, inaccessible, privatized University.
