Quick question here, if it all goes south whilst encrypting and the drive gets messed, is it possible to just format and reload the drive from scratch or is the drive beyond repair. I am running XP Pro so I would obviously run the Windows XP disc and just go from there. Will this work.
Thanks a million.

@rowdyrhodie Even if the encryption is successful, you always have the option to boot to a CD (XP install disc, GParted, etc) and remove all partitions from the drive, add new ones, and format them. Encrypting doesn't keep you from doing this, whether the process is successful or not. If the process does go south though, you may lose data - so make sure you have backups of everything on the drive before you do it. :-)
