I don't know why everyone is convinced that's a wolfhound... How talk are you Alek? I'm 6"2 and we have deerhounds are about as tall as me on their hind legs. We also have a female that's very broad in the shoulders (and likes to play kamikaze with people...)
love the breed. One of the younger dogs we had ended up doing very well in the showring in canada, but after all the attention she became a stuck up bitch! Seriously! Never see that with more domestic dogs :P

This is a beautiful Irish Wolfhound. They are gentle as can be but have a very ominous warning bark. Giant chest, long neck and big teeth tend to keep the unwanted away. Only drawback, they make giant mounds of poop.

Look, this is a wolfhound.
Yes, it might look like a big deerhound to the quick glancing types, but a deerhound has a greyhounds frame, and would not have such thick shoulders or wide neck.
As a consolation, it could be a mixed breed. But it is wolfhound mostly in that case.
