The lost GPS: Driving in NYC part 2

I was visiting a friend in NYC who works in Manhattan so he can't drive to work. So I drive him to work and the GPS malfunctions over the 59th street bridge.

NOTE: At the very moment this video was recorded, the USAirways plane took off from LaGuardia Airport and crashed into the Hudson River. All aboard survived and the incident took place less than a couple miles from where we were in the video.

Haha Garmin isnt the best and you drive a Honda get a GPS put in there cheap i went to honda had mine installed for $249.99 professionaly

The Honda Odyssey was a rental. I rented it in Atlanta for two weeks and included my road trip to NYC. It was the first time I used a GPS while traveling in NYC and first discovered that it can lose signals in tunnels and under the bridge.

My Garmin works perfectly and has been updated recently to include new roads. I have a friend who owns a Honda with built in GPS and they prefer their Tom Tom unit.

And more than likely the reason your GPS isnt working is your under a bridge and its not getting the exact location signal from satellite
