I've greened as well, a very small show of support for a grass roots democratic movement. No one is in control of this movement now, no one is orchestrating it. It is a genuine mass outpouring of democratic desire. They want their damn votes to count for something. They want more say in their lives.
Of course the Iranian hardliners claim it is a CIA controlled group of radicals.
In the 1960s, the mass anti war movement was called a KGB plot by Washington. Nothing changes, eh?

seriously, weren't "they" the ones who overthrew the Iranian gov't back in the 50's/60's & put the Ayatollah in power. Wasn't it the CIA who trained the SAVAK? If not CIA then Mossad? Seems like Iran's a sore spot in a lot of folk's collective agenda(s).
I dunno. like I said, I don't know much about it; but my stink-dar is going off.

I can't say I know enough about this issue. Are you in solidarity with the Iranian ppl as a whole, or just the protesters? If the latter, I was under the impression the CIA (or other agency) was/were involved with destabilizing Iran during the past election. In any event, an overview video would be helpful. I'll try to research it on my own, but I'm caught up in the Kurt Haskell (flight 253) story atm.
