  • @swiftandeadly It's actually illegal to have a volunteer department in California.

  • nice

  • awesome truck

  • awesome video i like the sirens

  • the truth i have no clue ? It could be...

  • Yes, 90% of America is Volunteer run Departments. The majority of the Volunteer departments around the United States have better stations and better looking (Newer) Equipment from the highest bidder. This is because they have the money in the Town or City because they only pay the Fire Chief. In California they have 98% payed Departments, so there is no money in the budget for volunteer departments. I wish there were more volunteers! I think they do a better job then most payed because they CARE

  • OO because the areas out side my city(which is pay) are volunteer and they presentable looking stations and most have apparatus that are fairly new.

  • We do not have too many volunteer Departments in California; Not like this. We have Volunteers at LA County but they are out in far away stations which include a paid Captain and the rest volunteers/ Sometimes a payed Engineer as well. That is for the Stations that run like 200 calls a year. Most volunteer Departments here in California are in very rural areas, run no calls, and have shity stations and the apparatus is older. That is what I have seen from my experience. You can become a reserve.

  • Oh, well I thought it was a good video : ) And I think swiftanddeadly is asking if they're a volunteer department, so just tell him they're full time lol
