This is my first film with a story part 2.

Based on a Graphic Novel by Rob Schrab. In the distant future people buy Assassins out of vending machines. This is the story of one such Scud Assassin unit... Scud 1373

  • Dude, great work... I've got two questions, first, did you make all the mannequin stuff in the halls in the first person sequence just for the video or was it already there? Second, and i apologize in advance if this is a dumb question, but you didn't shoot this at Otis College did you?

  • Hi MCgriffin. Thanks for the compliment and the promo on Rob's website. Well originally I wanted to make a hall of mannequins myself but because of the time and money factor I was unable to but I happen to find a video of "the doll house" at Knotts Scarry farm and used that instead(it was a big time saver as well as a money saver). No question is dumb if you really don't know the answer to it. But no part of this was shot at Otis.

  • Great work man. My only criticism is the little first person scanning/tracking sequence was a bit on the long side. Other than that, Awesome!

  • Thanks man, I know that my timing and pacing of the film is off a bit...but I'm still learning:)

  • Jeff has like 6 breasts in Issues 21-24. Haha.

  • Yeah for sure...Neuropolis was saying he had to ask the creator, Rob Schrab, if Jeff had breast.

  • Ever tried to draw Jeff yourself? I have come to the conclusion that she was specifically designed to annoy animators. :(

  • Wow, this was awesome! I liked it better than part one. ^_^

  • I really like the way you put together Jeff. It's a shame you couldn't submit the second part 2 in time for the contest because, while the first part's cool, this one has so much stuff going on and a lot of cool ideas (I love Scud bringing up the factor map).

May I ask what kind of video compression you use? I can never get my YouTube videos to look this good. The difference between the standard and high quality here is barely noticeable!
