Have you ever counted the notches in between the cams and crank pulley on the timing belt to help judge where they go, or is that really necessary once you have tension? I noticed (on the driver side) cam pulley will move clockwise about an inch once you take tension off the timing belt.

Awesome tutorial, I need to do this. Would it be the same for a 2004 STI? My timing belt cover is dripping oil and it smokes when it drips to exhaust. I have to keep it under boost to get around.

@M16A2evans Thanks-yes it's the same for an STI-only there's Dual overhead cams instead-Also-sometimes it's veryyyyy difficult to take off the cam sprockets so make sure you have the right tools
