@jamesmcburnie My favourite Troi episode was 7x16 "Thine Own Self". My biggest complaint though was that Data's plot dominated this episode when Troi's was much more interesting. What's yours?

Deanna Troi was my favorite character EVER on Star Trek in general. She is the one who got me hooked on Star Trek altogether and Star Trek just wouldn't be the same without her...

And PLEASE GOD NO don't let Marina die! Not without me getting to meet her in person! Not until she's like 90-somehting!

Deanna Troi was hot, but the writers gave her the most awful lines. An angry alien appears, and wants to fight. "Captain, the alien is angry."

Most of the time they gave her obvious lines which made her use as an empath useless. Half of the time they seemed like they were using her as the "weak women in distress", another was the obvious plot exposition device, and another was the sex appeal angle (which I don't really mind.)

For me, Deanna Troi was without doubt, my favourite character on TNG. I likeed all the characters but especially her and Picard. In terms of her outfits, I did like her in that classical minidress uniform from the pilot episode but without doubt, she looked her absolute best in that blue dress from seasons 3 & 4.

Though I never wish any ill happening to any woman. I think the best dramatic trek scene she was in was the second "impathic abuse" scene that was cut out of Nemesis. Its on the delete scenes disk. It happens in a turbo lift and the film it with a pole snorkle cam. So the camera is overhead, drops down to eye level then spins around the room twice. The first pass She is alone, the second pass, Shinzon is behind her and says something like, "IMZADIiiii?" Snorkle cams scare the ferengi out of me.

I like the miniskirt version of the regulation uniform seen on many stand in actresses in the earlier seasons. I think Troi had it a little too.

I was named after Deanna Troi! LOL My sister was a huge treky and named me after her. My middle name was suppose to be troi. Thank god it's Elizabeth! LOL
