During a week-long cross-cultural media education residency over the summer of 2010, Seeds of Peace youth from the Middle East, South Asia and the United States worked with Meridian Hill Pictures teaching artist Brandon Kramer to write and produce their own music video set to K'Naan's World Cup anthem, Wavin' Flag. 'Wagin' Peace,' the new Seeds of Peace remix, builds on the feelings of resilience, hope, frustration, and defiance in K'Naan's original song — while infusing the 'Seeds' own uplifting and unifying vision of peace for the camper's own home communities.

HUGE shout outs:

All the campers - This video would not be possible without your positive energy, smiles, talent and dedication. Giving up free swim and rest hour, the Waving Flag crew wrote all of the lyrics, sang beautifully, filmed and danced all around camp. The STOMP crew practiced tirelessly to produce a human drumming act that embodies the uplifting and unifying spirit of the song.

Dan E - Dan's infectious enthusiasm carried this video all the way through, keeping us all motivated, inspired, and on schedule. A big thank you to Dan for making this project as fun to be a part of as it plays on screen.

Ben L - even with one arm out of commission, Ben operated the_ boom, played drums, and rallied the entire camp behind this video. Ben miraculously got this whole video accomplished within the nooks and crannies of my five days at camp.

Tamer, Orlando, Brent, Nadia - With a only few days to prepare, this unstoppable team choreographed a professional 3-minute STOMP routine with a group of campers that blew everyone away. The STOMP performance carries the video, and is a huge testament to the amazingly talented STOMPERS who sweat for hours practicing to make it perfect.

Ben S - Ben was the musical leader for the campers and counselors and also an incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist! Thanks Ben, for making this sound amazing!

Eitan - Eitan led these campers through everything - he was there helping them write the lyrics, practice the instrumentation, rehearse the dances, rally everyone together for the group shots.

Eric T - Eric mobilized the camp behind the video, played the drums, and was an all-around huge advocate for the project!

Sarah S - Sarah was the glue that made this possible, connecting me with Seeds and roadtripping with me up to Maine for one of the more memorable weeks of my life. She operated the boom, recorded all of the instrumentation and lyrics.

Shami - The energy in the video didn't just come out of nowhere. Shami got the whole camp excited to be a part of this. He kept everyone smiling, on their feet, and painfully swinging their arms for 20 minutes!

I know I'm missing a bunch of people who were instrumental to this project, so thank you to everyone!
