Just to add - THIS IS NOT MY VIDEO but quadomatic's on the GP2x forum; he just used my guide (so don't blame me for this) and I am happy he did so.

Had to give it 5*, it was my guide he used!! ;) I posted the guide to making a d-pad a couple of years ago; before I got used to a soldering iron (ahem) and before I had any real modding skills to speak of (how times change...). Anyway, this works, and basically costs nothing to make.
Mine looked prettier, but doesn't matter; it works!
