Snow day voice mail

Following a storm that left several inches of snow, a student, Devraj "Dave" S. Kori, 17, used a listed home phone number to call Dean Tistadt, chief operating officer for the Lake Braddock, Virginia County school system, to ask why he had not closed the schools. Kori left his name and phone number and got a message later in the day from Tistadt's wife, Candy.

I hope everyone also knows that people in the kids SCHOOL were getting into car accidents because of the snow that was why he called. And BTW as a former Fairfax County student I have to say i do not blame the kid calling. They NEVER close schools on time.

I agree she made herself look foolish by returning the call and leaving such an angry message, but she has a very valid point. Calling the man at his home (unless it was a dire emergency) was rude. Period. He and his family deserve their privacy just as much as anyone else. That the man chose to have a listed number was not an invitation for a student or parent or anyone else to call his home about a work related matter.
