The music is like the opening of the 3rd act in Tristan und Isolde
-
@OfficerMurdoch dear office, Under the title of the original score stands: study for tristan und isold so it definitely has something to do with opera
Kind regards

OfficerMurdoch might want to do a LITTLE research on the Wesendonk Lieder before he starts yelling "ignorant".

Murdoch, there are actually many comparisons with his Wesendonck Lieder and Tristan and Isolde.. "Traume" abstract sections can be found in the second act of Tristan. This is very similar to the Vorspiel of Act 3.
It's amazing how romanticized the Wesendonck Lieder and Tristan are, they are anomalous works for Wagner, and I think it's reflective of the strong bond he had for Mathilde Wesendonck.
