You are so wrong!

This is TCOP that I remember. The song in this one is a LOT better than what they are using now.

@ParkHopper Wow you know alot about this ride! So why did they not use the Kaleidophonic screens when it was moved to Walt Disney World? I wish they did because those things looked awesome and mind tripping lol

@linglings2hot yeah i prefer the script here in this video compared to the rushed and really cheesy crappy version they have today. But i'm glad they are using the very orginal theme song there these days. I like both songs... but i like "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow"

@BamaJen dogs don't live as long as humans so it would be believable to think that the humans would be alive through all of those ages of technology but not the dog so they used the same breed of dog but not the same dog itself.

Thank you VERY much for posting this.

This is the version I grew up with. Like it better than the great big song version of today.

the theme is actually called "The Best Time of Your Life." common mistake.

Stinks rotten. The Shermans just needed their paycheck.

I just came from Disney World after being gone 25 years. I was looking forward to this ride because it was one of my favorites as a kid. I remebered the words and everything! I was trying to tell my huband, it was different...I wasn't crazy!! They changed it duh...thanks for posting. I miss this version. :(

Why discuss about the songs? They are both wonderful and inspiring, and in YouTube we can have them! Congratulations for keeping the memory!

I miss this song. I'm not a fan of "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow." I wish they'd go back to the song that was original to Walt Disney World -- this song. This brings back lots of good memories.
why did they change the theme song? Anybody know why?

When Carousel of Progress played at the 1964 Worlds Fair, the theme song was Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow. When the attraction was moved to Disneyland they kept the theme song, but when it was moved to Walt Disney World, General Electric wanted the song replaced. They wanted a song that inspired audiences to go out and buy new appliances now, not some time in the future. So, the Sherman Bros. wrote "Now is the time." GE dropped sponsorship and in 1995 Disney restored the original song.
