actually the '69 ss came from factory with 396bb. 454 came into the ss game in '70 i believe.

That is correct, but this '69 sports a 454 and was badged accordingly.

Original motor was a 307, as this car is not an SS.

Love it,xcept for the wheels.They should be on a small truck of some sort.But thats an easy swap,,,or to each his own.One of my favorite years 68 and 9 ,or in this case,both.lol

@prostreet55 you're right my 69 chevelle i got has 68 doors on it plus the rear headlight bezzles are different on the 68's.

@clubhousemafia actually your wrong. its a 69 with 68 doors on it, look at the grille and side marker lights easy give-away. 68 only has front side marker lights, 69 has small front and back. plus doors and bodies, and tail lights are all interchangeable ion 68 and 69.

nope earlly model 69's had 68 door's they also made a ss model like this have seen three in my life with the numbers to back them up they had bench seat vinly floor mat an an one of them had factory gauges in the dash

@gavintiegirl That's how the idea of a boxed frame came along. Hardtop>post. Cages increase rigidity too. Where I'm from not having a 4 speed is a felony.
