This is a clip of interest to only the most die-hard of SFA fans!
This is the original version of the song 'Things To Do In Denver', written by John Cale and performed with the Super Furry Animals as his backing band.
The song has the chorus "Things You Do In Denver When You're Dead", but is nothing to do with the similarly named Warren Zevon song.
It was eventually released as 'Things' in 2003 on John Cale's 'Hobo Sapien' Album in a re-recorded Furry-less version.
I don't believe that the song appeared in the final 'Camgymeriad Gwych / Beautiful Mistake' film directed by Marc Evans in 1999, which was basically a series of collaborations between various contmporary Welsh musicians and John Cale.
To my knowledge, this is the only airing that this version has had. However, it's only a short excerpt which played over the closing credits of the documentary that accompanied
the showing of the film on S4C.
The cip is further hindered by the S4C continuity announcer and the wobbly quality of the audio on my original VHS copy.
Anyway, I've uploaded it for the sake of completion. Enjoy!
