@srvnumber1fan I was probably a little hard on Tommy Katona and, he has changed his stage persona. I can't totally fault someone like a Randy Hansen. It is hard as hell to make a career out of music and, I can understand that he had to use the Jimi gimmick to get heard. I personally think you should let your influences come through in your playing but, completely dressing like them and copying their mannerisms is a little much for me.
@bbnatedogg No doubt about that. It is one thing to want to show your influences, but ask Randy Hansen about that. I mean he took Jimi's "influence" over the top. Lucky to have seen Stevie go from the clubs to the stages and then the larger venues. EXTREMELY humble and genuine person. If you want people to know your love for Stevie, do it like he did, tell the people where you got it from rather than try to imitate him. Some people will think this is UN-cool.
@SiCF1ST Come on, are you kidding me? How could I possibly be jealous of a guy who dresses as a LEGEND, emulates the moves of a LEGEND, plays note by note the songs of a LEGEND, and doesn't even SING!!!!!! OMG what a loser.
@srayv82 As people have said, that is NOT SRV. It is Tommy Katona. He is a good guitar player but, I don't personally like the fact that he tries to dress and look like Stevie. Get your own look man! Stevie sang his own songs! Why would he have some geezer there singing his song?????? If you don't get it by now then you are just a fucking moron
