  • This is the only thing you really need to know about how good Danny Seraphine is- Buddy Rich used to be a guest on the Johnny Carson Show all the time, and Carson would frequently ask him who he thought were the best drummers in the world ( after Buddy himself,of course). He would always say Ed Shaugnnessy, the drummer for Doc Severinsen's band on the show, but he would also always include Danny Seraphine in his list. Nuff said.

  • @SkykingMr / Amen to that. the band changed with the death or Kath, then Cetera changed the style to a more ballad atmosphere, and then the song Look Away, my god ,People were starved for a hit from Chicago that they turned it into a number 1....listen to it now, if you can stomach that song...look away...ugh...then the final straw horn section claiming Serafine had a bad work ethic,I think he as sick of Chicago. Thanks to Danny he is playing the real Chicago music.

  • Danny has kept true to the music while the rest of the band gets off on coasting..... Who was it who said bacjk in that day that Chicago was a great band but if they only got rid of the horns..... meaning Danny and Terry were the heart of the band.... when I say Danny a couple years ago I swear he dedicated a song to Terry.... Stay classy Chicago....!!

I saw the current Chicagoi this summer. They may as well have had a beat box instead of their "drummer". Go Danny!! You're awesome!

  • Looking forward to Cetera and Seraphine reuniting with Chicago in 2017 for the 50th anniversary. Let's hope the dream becomes a reality.

  • Wow Wow Wow The Drummer is What the Curent day Chiacgo is Missing.

  • This band is better than the "modern-day" Chicago... but, still way too much production.. too much programmed instrumentation. The original Chicago was raw.. only tight! Like a Garage horn-band! Au naturel!

  • nothing compared to terry kaith and hed probably say so as well

  • wow these guys are tighter than todays chicago.,.....and the drums are better than ever...AA+++

  • Amazing band! Danny still rocking the 20 inch bass drums!! P.s. missing those sweet concert toms though.

  • Awesome! Great to hear/see Danny. This band has tons of energy...far more than Chicago has today. I have to agree with previous posts about Chicago since Terry, Peter, and Danny. Saw them a couple of years back with EW&F and thought EW&F blew them off the stage. CTA is refreshing! Thanks Danny and good luck!!!

  • @SkykingMr /the band did nicely changing from Kath (RIP) to Cetera doing slow love songs ,then he left they really had no hits.sure they did Look Away ,and it did great but its the label effect. if its a hot product then it must be good .but listen to Look Away now...and it sucks.Chicago is nothing but a the kind of band in a dive restaurant.Ever see the blues brothers when they go to the holiday inn? Try the Veal its fantastic.
