Ultimo Dragon is likely a man that needs no introduction. He is the man responsible for the innovation of such moves as the Asai Moonsault and the Asai DDT, both of which are named after Ultimo. Ultimo has had quite the career thus far, and still isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Spending time in Mexico, he was able to combine his skills he learned in Japan along with what he learned in Mexico to create a very well versed style. After returning to Japan, he competed in the 1995 Super J Cup, making it to the semis, as well as the J Crown tournament in 1996, narrowly losing the eight belts in the finals. He would redeem himself two months later, and become the second J Crown Champion. He would defend the belts in WCW and Japan during his reign, taking on all comers. He also had a long run with WCW, holding the Cruiserweight Title as well as the TV Title. A botched surgery looked like the end, but Ultimo refused to go out that way, and is still wrestling today. In 2003, he signed with WWE, and would fulfill a longtime goal by competing at Wrestlemania. Dragon's aerial ability is formidable on its own, but combined with the hidden strength needed for such moves as the Running Dragon Bomb, Ultimo is a tough opponent for anyone in the Jr. Heavyweight division.

  • not gonna front, when i saw the asai ddt in the dragon's wwe debut, i thought it was the sickeest version of the ddt i've ever seen.

he and rey should've had more matches, not just in wwe, but in wcw. they both helped give the cruiserweight belt a name

  • @MrF4R batista stands still while ultimo dragon runs, still the same powerbomb though

  • @MrF4R dragon bomb tends to have a running start to it

  • i thought dr tom did the first asai moonsault. he did one back the 80's.

  • the dragon bomb is a liger bomb because he lands with is legs over the opponents arms. the batsta bomb is just a shitty sitdown powerbomb. he kinda just falls down.

  • @MrF4R

the dragon bomb is a running sitout powerbomb and the batsta bomb is just a sitout powerbomb

  • Myu favorite Wrestlers of All Time:
