  • 13 people are Ophiuchans.

  • @LiamXaoh now - 13 people are.

  • @TheHumpadump - 2nd point: No, you say the zodiac/constellations/etc. 'dictate' our lives according to astrology. I was trying to say that, if astrology were real, it may not be the planets are affecting us, but we can determine certain affects in the manner that is being used by astrology, which is mathematics and patterns, and that it doesn't mean that the planets/portions of the sky/etc. are the things affecting us, but just showing us how things are/will be.

  • @chibiariel ... the arguments put forth show that the two factors show hardly any links between the zodiac and the events in people's lives. It has no recognizable effect on a person's weekly life. It's the same as saying that an earthquake on Pluto caused me to read your comment on youtube. They are not causally linked, exactly the same way astrology is to your life. That's what I think your point means, correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @chibiariel To your first point, regardless, these factors are not causally linked to a person's life to the extent that they can dictate the events in a person's life. My claim still stands.

To your second point, I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying it could be true it's just people don't know how? If so, well it's extremely unlikely (obviously there is no degree of certainty, but that is true for every piece of knowledge) and we have ways to show that it is unlikely...

  • @TheHumpadump - (cont'd...) And, secondly, if astrology were proven to be true somehow, that doesn't mean HOW it's true has been proven. For example, we can say 'the sky is blue' and prove it on an average day, but that doesn't mean people know why it's blue or how it got to be that way. (I mean, I know we have the answer to that, but knowing the sky is blue doesn't equate knowing why/how.)

  • @TheHumpadump - Well, firstly, the constellations have nothing to do with tropical astrology. Thirty degree parts of the sky are split up and given the names of certain constellations. Also, planets and the Sun and Moon and a whole tonne of other things are involved (aspects, houses, elements, quality, etc.). (cont'd...)
