i wonder too if it affects ultra low action? when strings are kissing the frets....

Really clever! The Holy Graal for Tapping freaks! But I have a question... This thing affects string action, isn't? We tappers love a REALLY low string action, but this dampener seems to rise the strings a little, am I wrong? Do you have one of these sized to 5 and 6 strings basses?
