The world of careers and career advice is now being disintermediated by the digital revolution at least as fast as other sectors. The nature of the shift is from a version that was one-to-many top-down, silo-based career advice characteristic of the 20th century (and then mimicked in Web 1.0) to a peer-to-peer, many-to-many, social network approach enabled by Web 2.0.
