"Hey Jude" is a good song, but if you strip away the four minute coda, it's just a simple Paul McCartney ballad.

On the merits of simply being a song, I think "I Want to Hold Your Hand" is still good. If the list were most influential, the song would have a very good shot at being number one.

The ultimate problem is that I can't fit fifty songs into a twenty song space, no matter how much I'd like to.

Thank you for not putting Hey Jude in the top twenty. It is not bad, but it is SO overrated. You shot my heart down with Eleanor Rigby and While My Guitar Gently Weeps though. They are both top five on my list.

I suppose Hey Jude was pretty accurate. Nice song, good prupose, but the most highly overrated Beatles song.
