This is the corresponding video to my December 2010 article at http://banjosessions.com/?p=130 The article discusses how to add syncopation to the chord-melody pinches by using two common vamping patterns. I play my DGdg tenor banjo on this video, but 5-string banjo players can follow the Examples 2-4; their chord voicing would be xx789 (part of G major chord in the up-the-neck D position).
