Leaders issue Call to Action on the Millennium Development Goals
Gordon Brown, Bill Gates, Bono, Queen Rania, Ban Ki-Moon, Klaus Schwab, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, and John Chambers have issued a joint statement at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting vowing to make 2008 a turning point in the fight against poverty. The world is facing a "development emergency", they said, and "we pledge to work together to help the world get back on track to meet the MDGs."
Watching this today, Jan 27 - 09 - making me relize that if we work together, and use collective globally tools like You Tube, our generation can achieve the greatness of our our teachers.

More interesting than the people who are on the stage are the people who are NOT on the stage. And the promises they have failed to keep...another big disappointment. But that's how life is supposed to be, right?

There is nothing wrong with world leaders like Bono, Brown, and Gates calling for change and promoting development. Ultimately though, We, the People have to make it happen. That is what my idea "One World, One Community" is about. Check it out.

As always, a typical example of a "do as I say but do not do like me" policy.

well his discourse have always been totally pro-capitalist. type of solve problems of capitalism with more capitalism. He is even worse than Brown/Bush/Gates type of ppl, cuz her pretends to "represent" people, while he represents only his wallet and ego.

Exactly. Let us not blame each other, that's just slowing down the process of reaching some very crucial decisions together!

Same reason that you yourself used your computer, which uses energy and contributes to C02 emissions, so you could post a comment about other people using energy which contributes towards C02 emissions, when you could have switched off your computer. I take your point, but it's not that simple.
