well the Marcelo pass as you call it starts with stuffing your opposite knee and it's not marcelos pass it's old! the second one I have never seen before looks effective but like you said the hips have to be up, great video I am glad your showing advanced stuff instead of the same ol crap
Aesopian, for the Roger Gracie Sweep theres still a way to hit it after he sets his hips to the ground. Vince Quituga does this sweep with the gi and the only difference is that he shifts his knees to set the guys weight on top of him before he tries to sweep.
at 3:31, you maybe counter by toehold, am i right??
that's why i like BJJ , there's no secret move, unlike other arts, a bluebelt can defeat even a blackbelt, like Ryan Hall and Gracie's blackbelt Gordinho . .

That sweep was awesome I have to try it, I always get stack in that position and they pass.
