  • @jamason987 They don't make Eb contrabass. It's automatically a contralo; while the music says contrabass, it's incorrect.

  • My friend and I are doing a simalar dou exsept I am playing the e flat contra bass clarinet instead of the alto and it is really hard cause we both have melodies and conter melodies. We took a normal clairnet dou and becaue we are both in e flat we don't have to transpose, it is still a work in progress but it is going to sound awesome!!! :)

    Really high, really low :)

  • Funniest thing I have ever watched. I play contra alto in clarinet choir... So much fun :)

  • @xinx03ovcm There is only the one Octocontrabass in the word. Shame! Made by Leblanc, but he died in 1999 at age 99 so no one can make any more. They're not allowed to take it out to look at it or play it.

  • Lovely intonation on the piccolo clarinet! I can't comment on the octobass cos I have no idea what notes those lovely grunts and growls correspond to!

  • @sfbassoonguy there's one in a museum with broken pads and a number of points to be fixed....it doesnt play very well...at least that's what he said to me in reply!

  • Wow! And i have trouble keeping an Eflat clarinet in tune! You did a great job!

  • Bravo....nice clarinets.....

  • haha, you guys rock!

Tchaikovsky should have definitely brought these two horns from France to Russia (if they were built at the time, of course) instead of the celesta :D (just kidding)
