I was born in this great little town! It's hard to get memories like this out of your Head! I wrote this as a Tribute to a dear friend of Mine T-med Hogg. Who i met in Baton Rouge,La. who is also from Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Wow... been up here for 2 years. Grew up in PB. Went to school with Scott, so his memories of PB are the same as mine. PB today is nothing like the PB when we grew up. I used to walk from 53&9th to Bluff Lanes Sat morning for league bowling. Wouldn't do that now as an adult. PB was a wonderful place in the early-mid 80's. Had bad element, then, although it was small pockets. Sorely miss it at times. When the heck are they going to fix Rodger's Theatre's marquee?
HI SCOTT...THIS IS GRE8...POPLAR BLUFF...IS ALSO MY HOMETOWN...I WAS NOT BORN THERE BUT BOTH MY MOM AND DAD WERE...ONE OF OUR 4 KIDS WAS... (CATHY COONCE) THIS VIDEO BRINGS BACK SO MANY TREASURED MEMORIES...ANGEL BLESSING...CAPTURE A SUNBEAM...REACH FOR A STAR...FOLLOW A RAINBOW...NO MATTER HOW FAR...CHERISH YOUR HOPES...KEEP YOUR DREAMS WITHIN VIEW...AND YOUR POSITIVE THINKING WILL PAY OFF FOR YOU...AND MAY YOUR ANGELS...BE ALWAYS...WATCHING OVER YOU TOO...EACH DAY...COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!
Thanks Scott, needed this. Tracie (Foriester) here, and definitely miss being home. Being in Florida is great, but nothing like home!!! Such talent you and your family has got. Enjoy watching all your videos!
Thanks for this Scott. I was born and raised in Poplar Bluff. I graduated from PBHS in 1977, then went to Southeast Missouri State University. I now live in Central Florida but P.B. will always be home. I do remember the Christmas decorations stretched across the street. The Rogers and the Jewell. Going to 303 on Christmas day to buy batteries because it was the only store in town open.
dang i knew Scott and Tmed when they were with us in B.R. But didn't know they was poplar bluffians??? Where is Scott now???
