This might sound odd, since Emperor has so many great songs, but this is without doubt my favorite one. I always loved the message it sends.

Ihsahn is one of the best songwriters / composers in Metal.
he may not be the very best guitarist or vocalist but the melodies and compositions he has done are absolutely stunning.

@odysseasX Well IMO even before Nymphetamine they were always an Extreme Symphonic / Gothic Metal band. Although they had some Black Metal influence in the earlier records, they're nothing like Darkthrone, Mayhem, Burzum type stuff. Even Paul Allunder stated CoF was never really a Black Metal band.

@FilthyBeava I agree. I used to be like that but I grew out of that whole genre nazism thing. Although I still mostly dislike Deathcore/Post Hardcore stuff

@odysseasX Right on. Emperor is one of my favorite Black Metal bands and I too love Cradle of Filth. I wouldn't call CoF Black Metal but they're still really good.

How do bullshit comments like this, "Cradle of Fags sucks dick compared to this." get highest rated.
Cradle of Filth is a decent band, but if I had to choose out of my own personal preference between the two, I would pick anything by Ihsahn. Who compares music anyways?. Music creates Inspiration, and all these mainstream labels keep people away from listening to some of the greatest music ever created.
Listen for the right reasons and you will see it for what it trully is.
