Today, the House will consider H.R. 1592, the Hate Crimes Prevention Act. This bipartisan bill focuses on providing new resources to help state and local law enforcement agencies prevent and prosecute hate crimes. It also closes gaps in current federal hate crimes law.
If a black guy singles out another black guy just because he is black, then I guess that would be a hate crime. I am against hate crime bills anyway!

Gerald really looks a lot healthier since he has his stomach by-pass.

I wish this bill would pass, but it won't because Bush plans to veto it. It gives gays and women more protection under the law; two groups of humans that the Republicans don't care about.

Hate crime prevention? Is this sort of like brushing and flossing for racial and sexual minorities? And if a young black man kills another black man, which is happening with increasing frequency in the major urban centers throughout the US, is this considered hate or merely a statistic?
