This is from 2004-2005 season, I think the 79th or 80th game. New Jersey played Philladeplhia. NJ was 9th, Philly 7th. VC played maybe the best basketball of his career that season, when he came to New Jersey. He recorded 5 or 6 40+-point games that 50 games or so with the Nets, which this one against the 76ers was one of, with 43 points (he also had 11 boards). That was a franchise-record of 40+-point games in one season. He recorded in this game his 23rd 30+-point game as a Net, also a franchise-record tie. He scored 4 or 5 threes a game at that time, sometimes even 6 or 7. He dunked on people. Lots of people know the alley-oop of the backboard, in his second game, against New York. Or the reverse alley-oop against Indiana. Or the slam in Minnesota. But this 2 dunks here are very good as well. Also look at Brian Scalabrine, in the right corner. He loves the dunks as much as VC does.

I once talked to the famous Maxamillion77 or something like that, most people know him. He showed me a play which was simalar to the second of this slams. I said that dunk he showed me was vert similar to the was against Philly. I'd love to talk to him again, and show him this dunk. So, if you read this, please comment.

Thanks for watching, and unfortunately, VC his hops are 90% gone.

  • is this the same game were iverson crossed and floored that dude vaughn? lol

  • No, that was one year later I think, Vaughn wasn't on the Nets roster in this game.

  • Do we miss those dunks guys...

  • Yep, I also miss Vince Carter, I wanted him to stay in New Jersey.

  • Hell no, he didn't get any opportunities there, 'cause that mofo Lawrance Frank and Harris wouldn't let VC carry them. NJ is gonna be AWFUL this year. VC will bring back the memories!

  • Did I see Ray Allen?

  • that was sexy

  • allen iverson disliked this video

  • @elete23 i didnt say his heart was not in it for the majority of his run with new jersey...from 04-08 he was epic in new jersey...im just saying..for example, scoring 3 points was it? or 6? at a home game vs the raptors...thats not vince carter playing with heart...and yes he played through injuries in many games in his later years in jersey...im saying his best years of his career were from 04-07 as a net...he played great in 08 and 09 but just not as consistently as the previous 3 years

  • @sauce556 Gotta disagree. As a Nets fan. VC's heart was in it 100% as a Net. Look at his last game as a Net. He's injured in the game, hobbling on one leg, it's meaningless game, but he knew it was the last home game of the season and he went all out on defense, something he isn't known for and won it for them. thats what VC as a Net was about and that is why Nets fans will always love him. I think his best years were in NJ. The Harris experiment was bad but vc did what he was told

  • look at ai he need to get his ass back in the nba

  • ALL CLASSIC

  • this is when VC first arrives in new jersey. the Nets PA announcer still haven't invented "Did you see VC?" yet

  • @ldc62 wrong-VCs prime=04-07 check the stat sheet and highlight clips in season and playoffs

  • @woutakasinistra i slightly disagree lawrence was an awesome coach for vince...vince's health, athletic ability, and unfortunately yet admittedly his heart...became inconsistent starting 08...however devin harris's domination of the basketball on certain nights ticked me off
