Jeanne Crain, unfortunately, doesn't get remembered as much as she should. She exhibited a wide range
from musicals (State Fair, Centennial Summer)
to perverse dramas (Leave Her to Heaven)
to "Pinky," a daring for-its-time drama about racial bigotry and tolerance that would have been more daring if Crain had really been 1/4 Haplogroup E1b1a. Great actress with a great vocal disguise. Thanx to crepehanger for posting this fun batch.

Can you imagine at the end she was actually talking about a live TV production of Meet Me In St. Louis that she was going to star in. We think TV is better today than back then, but you'd never see such a thing today.

Damn! Richard Boone was HOT! He had a really cool haircut, too, for the time period.

What a beautiful gal. This clip makes me wonder how she would have done in some more comedy type roles. I have the DVD of Vicki, where she plays Jean Peters' sister. Richard Boone roughes her up in that movie.

1959 -- for Lincoln's 150th birth anniversary, Richard Boone starred as Lincoln in a Broadway play "The Rivals" also starring as Stephen Douglas Martin Gabel (Mr. Arlene Francis). This episode appeared on GSN on February 2009, the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth.
