They lost also fat/muscle but much much less than water. Temperatures inside of cockpit are very high, sometimes higher than 60 cel.degree. Formula 1 drivers requires very high level of concentration, and very good physical condition, even bigger than 90% of other sports. Even 4% of water loss can seriously damage their concentration. They must endure 90-100 minutes of 180km/H, sometimes 200km/h average speed.
Average driver can't endure 30 minutes on that speed.
