The title of this track means "Mugged at the 4 Stop" in argentine slang. Some kids pulled a blade on me and ganked my fiddle back in March of 2010 while I was waiting for the 4 bus two blocks from Plaza Constitución in Buenos Aires. I eventually got it back, but in the two months I didn't have a fiddle, I played a whole lot of banjo, and this is a tango I came up with. Diego composed his double bass part and helped arrange the piece in more tango-like fashion. I used to just plow through, but now it breathes a little more.
Anyway, it's on our album, "A Traveler's Sketches." If you're interested in knowing more about us or the CD, check out my website:

I'd dance to that. How did you get the fiddle back?

@forresto Hey, Forrest. Well, a violinist in the city of La Plata bought from some lady who contacted him out of the blue. (He's a known instrument buyer/trader.) Anyway, he was intrigued by the workmanship, so he looked up the luthier's name on the internet, and, SURPRISE, up came the facebook page dedicated to it's recovery with my email address on it. He then contacted me and a buddy drove me to La Plata to pick it up. Thanks, Fatebook!
