"You speak the truth, my faithful Indian companion". I guess I wasn't in the zone just then.

But...I'd still like to have back the looks, sheer animal energy and stubborn optimism of 19.

Hell, I had only discovered chicks some years before then, and...and...but of course you're right.

  • @Schibta Get over it, I just turned 69 on 27 February and it was not painful at all. I am as healthy now as I was in 1968 when this album came out, just not in as good a shape. I was a First Lieutenant in the airborne infantry, then.

Since when is 55 old age? No more than 69, sporto

  • @ghettoburger666 Bet you are proud of your command of the English language and your vocabulary, too.

What is it with losers like you who cannot complete a sentence without using a string of filth to obscure your message?

  • @UberKrispy

Ain't that the truth! But the kicker is - one discovers this too late. "Experience is like a comb for a bald-headed man - you get it too late". Ah well, Like Tiny Tim said: "God bless us, every one!"

  • @Schibta I'm 43 and I agree with your sentiments, life is way, way, way, way too short. God bless you brother

  • @thebigjanx

Isnt it though? It's Iike the pay-off to the song somehow...sure, the rest is good too but...like tmuna23 says - the heart fills with joy, it soars like an eagle. I still get goose-pimples after these 43 years. That's saying something.

  • ...and how pretty and fresh they were...I'm 55 now and dread looking myself in the mirror. It didn't use to be like that, not at all, no way.

Time sure wounds all heels. Getting old sucks a** big time - then you get Alzheimers and are truly fucked and it's curtain-time but for real. So enjoy it while it lasts kids;)

  • @Jmaltese1

Right! Like, don't hold back on us - why so bashful? ;)

  • one of the best song,s ever remeber,s me of sunday mornings at home with my dad playing the music and . doing the hovering bless .xxx

  • When music was written and written well not like today. This is one of my prize possessions on mint vinyl. Too bad there isn't bands like this today. :)

What happened to the music industry???, American Idol,...LOL
