I never could understand this. You're not part of the team, you don't make the money, get the women, or the glory. Not only that, you can support the team all you want, but the team or players won't do so much as to grant you an interview for a job with them despite your undying loyalty and support. Sports fanatics are merely neglected cheerleaders in a non-existent relationship.
