It's pretty obvious that you could make either amp sound like the other with a little tweaking of the knobs.

Amp 1 was better. More vocal mid-range and more balls.

amp 1 is definitely an ENGL, and of course it's better. it cuts a lot better in a real mix, and the bottom isn't breaking apart. it remains a lot tighter in those palm mutes. it's a giveaway that the 2nd amp is the Mesa.

@westsd4lyphe For me:
- Amp 1 has better distortion, Amp 2 distortion sounds like a broken speaker.
- Amp 2 has more bass but Amp1 mids are better.
Amp 1 is the clear winner.
