Lady Gaga talks about her Music Video for Alejandro

Extra's Terri Seymour caught up with Lady Gaga to talk about her new video, following Gaga's racy performance on American Idol Wednesday night.

Lady Gaga is currently prepping a video for her new single, "Alejandro," and tells Terri, "I'm shooting this video with Steven Klein. I'm so excited, but like all of my videos, I don't know what it's going to look like until it's finished."


The pop star is constantly on the go -- so how does she keep it up? "I'm really not that tired. Of course, I get tired... it's my passion for my fans," she said. "It's their messages, they send me these beautiful videos... I must have thousands of beautifully laminated books with stickers, photos, sketches, poetry, they call me Mother Monster now."

Her Ladyship also reveals that although she sings about her "Poker Face," she "sucks" at playing poker and that her inspiration for the song came from a party. "One of the inspirations from Poker Face was these parties I used to hold on Sundays at my friend's house in Brooklyn, and all the boys would get together and play Texas Hold 'Em and I'd make margaritas and spaghetti for everybody. Believe it or not I'm an excellent cook, so no, I suck at poker," she said.

@shinznay Yes, alot of the ignorant (hateful) people are formed through the media's perception of Gaga as a celebrity and not as an artist. Alot of viewers are quick to see similarities amongst people and claim they "copied" them. It seems like having influences is illegal in this day and age, BUT if you're "unique" - the hateful viewers think you're an attention whore. Eh, although it may seem like a lose-lose; at the end of the day, Gaga knows who see is, and only the open minds embrace her.

@KryptoBeatz i TOTALLY agree with you, and there are still some ignorant people who say' why does lady gaga dress like that, its weird' okay its unusual but those ignorant people are blind to see that its art!! and its an expression of what she feels for music, art exc.. u no what i mean. she my idol n icon n i love her, but when people ask those questions sometimes i just ignore it on youtube cus i could write an essay on Gaga, but shes a remarcable human being. im getting a tattoo of her :)

@shinznay Well, Gaga never disappoints with her music videos. I mean, of course it's "controversial" but I'm not shocked it got perceived like that because it does have it's questionable instances - but it's in the name of her art, so I have no complaints.

And yea, you're right - "Alejandro" is quite deep and has a strong meaning; and that's all you can really ask for from a genuinely talented artists these days.
