On 11-12 Feb 2010, we drove from New Orleans to McComb, Mississippi because we heard that was going to be a good spot for the snow hitting Texas and on its way to The Deep South. The weather people had it right. At about 8pm on the 11th, the snow replaced the rain and we seen big flakes. By morning, there was about 3 inches on the ground and more to come. We drove around McComb and took the pictures you've just watched. Then hit the Interstate I-55 for more snow and in some spots, high blizzard like winds. The snow stayed on our truck all the way back to New Orleans, despite a warmer rain. We will head back up to McComb, again. The people from a Wal-Mart to the El Dorado Mexican restaurant to our Hampton Inn Hotel (Hey, Terrance at the front desk) treated us great. Coming from the North, I feel more of a sense of family down South. And, now we have 4 seasons instead of Hot and less hot!
hey thats my home town!
