This is NOT good singing. Just look at his tongue position - it's very far back and compressed which is a sure-fire giveaway for laryngeal tension.
That said, this oboist is AWESOME.

Martyn Hill is one of the greatest tenors (when it comes to non-operatic genres). Has anyone listened to his Weber songs(lieder)? It is just amazing.

The oboist is Katharina Arfken, and she does play with the Freiburger Barockorchester, and teaches in Basel at the Schola.

Eine Stimme, die mir überhaupt nicht gefällt, blechern und mit viel zu grobschlägigem Tremolo. Sie verdirbt mir die ganze Aufnahme, die ich zu Hause im Original im Regal habe, und mit der mich nur Michael Chance aussöhnt,der hier ebendalls singt.
