Another short film for my first year uni course, part of a group project! Stayed up all night to edit! About bouncers or door staff as they like to be called now!

I work the doors, and I belive im a fair guy. If clients and customers come for a good night out, then i will show them courtesy. Courtesy goes a long way.

Although It does help to have an element of arrogance about yourself because otherwise certain people try to get one up on you. If I see situation which could easily get out of hand its my job to deal with it, wether through diplomacy or through phisical control it really depends on the situation. But no I dont let it go to my head.

i do beleive ther is bouncers that bully people but dont name all as like that, im a bouncer and the amount of people that come and say thank you is good to have. people who judge dont know unless they do the job.

Of the bouncers I've known, they are just doing their job. They act all tough because they HAVE to be intimidating. 'Cause you would most likely just push past the guy if he wasnt. When you get to know them, or you meet them outside of their work, they are teddy bears, gentle souls and the like. Yes, you will get the odd bad apple between them - the one with anger management issues or a troubled past. But +95% are good people just trying to earn a living.

At one time 'bouncers' were people that sat near the door or bar of a venue and controlled trouble-makers how they seen fit. Today, the SIA, Police, Council and Venues don't want bouncers, they want meeters & greeters who look smart and are polite, and who can deal with trouble at a cheap rate. Unfortunately the majority of doorstaff these days are not capable of 'bouncing' people out of a venue as they are brought up in this pussy-foot way of being as hands off as possible.
