TAKA Michinoku is one of the most gifted Jr. Heavyweight wrestlers of the past fifteen years. A leading force of the Kaientai faction, TAKA honed his skills in Michinoku Pro, and branched out to compete in other places as well, such as New Japan Pro Wrestling, and FMW. He would face off against Black Tiger II(Eddie Guerrero) in the first round of the 1994 Super J Cup, where he gave BT a run for his money. As time went on, TAKA perfected some incredibly difficult moves, such as the Spaceman Plancha. In MPro, he and the rest of Kaientai terrorized the federation for years. After signing with the WWF, TAKA became the inaugural WWF Lightheavyweight Champion, and after returning to Japan, won the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Title, taking on all comers for a year. Since his return to Japan, he's toned down the flying slightly, and added some ground attacks to his arsenal, as well as a few stiff Kicks. The Michinoku Driver II is capable of running over just about any opponent.

  • the michinoku driver 1 looks weird here, since when goes the opponent face first down when you perform it??

  • That particular clip is the only one of Michinoku using the move.

  • The michinoku driver is a sit-out scoop brainbuster or piledriver?

  • Piledriver

  • this guy is awesome

  • INDEED!!

  • What, no poke to the eyes?

  • Taka Michinoku used to be in the WWF but back then he was Chinese

  • @TheSuicidalDragon

I see, thx for the explanation

  • Oddly enough, that's not the first time I've heard of that. In fact, the announcer refers to the Pyramid Driver as the MD during the match with Sasuke.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon

Japanese wiki says the MD1 is a Pyramid Driver (straightjacket sitdown powerbomb). Knowing no japanese, there is a link to the page of Yumiko Hotta and her finisher infact was a Pyramid Driver too :)

  • That Just Facelock looked like it hurts like a motherfucker.
