This video shows how I managed to get a set of DAYTONA USA PCBs taken from a 1993 Deluxe Edition arcade to work on my TV.

I couldn't have done this without the help or LukeWells, AndyGeezer, Ordyne and everyone else on the JAMMA+ forum who offered me assistance! :)

  • Yes it's funny how Sega tried to convince people that they would make an arcade-perfect version for Saturn, when Saturn was nowhere near remotely close to the power of Model 2.

  • Excellent! Now no one can say you can't play the arcade version at home :-D. This is still a impressive game for its time. Lucky it's now available on Xbox360 arcade and PSN network.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • What month in 93 was this game released in japan. Was it before Octobers Ridge Racer?

  • What does your video connector look like on the filter board? I can't seem to get anything on my screen and have no idea how to hook it all up. What needs to be connected to see something?

  • @korlds -. ps2 was capable of better texture effects, faster cpu, more geometry. but this arcade machine was amazing for the time.

  • model2 had the most powerful hardware in that era.

it was developed in cooperation with Martin Marietta and it's cpu was Intel i960 @ 25 MHz. maybe it's more powerful than ps2

  • Funny... a game from 1993 as powerful as a ps2 if not better.

  • Lol AM2 make all the good games! What screen are you useing?

  • Unbelieveable smooth grafix!!

  • wow... with your TV its looks soo smooth... even smoother from SEGA RACING CLASSIC lol...

    nice work mate!!

  • The game runs a smooth 60 frames per second and even today that is still impressive it even outclassesmost of todays racing games :)
