The race to be the first UK's Asian woman MP

In 1892 Dadabhai Naoroji became the first Indian man to win a seat in Parliament, standing for the Liberal Party in Finsbury, London.
Almost 120 years later nine Asian male MPs have been elected but there are still no Asian women in the House of Commons, despite there being roughly 1.5 million in the UK.
But with the three main political parties expected to field at least 21 Asian women in England and Scotland, the 2010 election could well make history.
Three of the hopeful candidates spoke to BBC News about what it would mean to have an Asian woman as an MP.
