  • The Buck knives get it done. But I wonder if some have ever heard of a good hatchet or short axe. The need for batoning is over done. If you need a big knife invest in a Trail Master CS.

Too many of the so called testing vids are merely destruction of good blades. You have a good selection of knives just apply them correctly. stonenstrop

  • Comment on game cleaning.....use olive oil/vegetable oil if you need to oil your blade. Does not affect the meat.

  • if i had to live in the woods this guy is the first id run to

  • I am a proud owner of the Becker BK2. I can honestly say I will never buy any knife other than Ka Bar.

  • You must be freaking rich but I aint judging. its a great way to spend the money... just make sure you actually use them is all:) figure out what works for you and then stick with that and sell some of the other stuff.

  • my favorite knife is my Frost Cutlery Fighter Bowie it costs like 30 bucks is an almost exact replica of a Marine Ka-Bar (I have an actual USMC Ka-Bar to compare it to) it holds an edge great and it really sturdy I've even chopped with it

  • 200 dollars for a 1095 knife is overpriced if you ask me. Ya' can pick up much better knife steels than the moderate 1095 steel for that price.

1095 is a cheaper steel to make, it is pretty much just a moderately good steel, holds an okay edge, and has moderate rust resistance.

If you look at some other options, Vg10 steel,154 CM steel ( Probably not the best for the cash on that one ), there is 5160 spring steel, which is a great steel really.

What I'm saying is there are better options is all.

  • oil/grease your leather sheaths

  • The pathfinder knife is the best but most people can't afford it it $200.00 or more so most people have the Becker bk2. Witch is the best for its price.

  • what is the name of the knife on the right and how much does it cost
