Top of the hour headlines and OCM chat on TWN's EarthWatch on July 21, 1997 and then... technical difficulties instead of the local forecast. It looks as if a Weather Facts segment was aired instead of the local forecast video. But the problems are fixed in time for the national forecast.

* Intended only for nostalgic/reminiscing purposes of what TWN was like in years past.

  • Whatever happened to Lila Feng?

  • I remember she left TWN around the spring of 1999 and went to CNN International's weather department but I don't know if she's still with them or not presently.

  • Ahaha, The Weather Network was "broken"!

Yarrgh, anything with René Brunet? He sometimes did Earth Watch, especially in late 1997 I think.

  • I have a clip with him from November 1998 when he appeared with Suzanne Leonard Feliz on TWN's one hour La Nina special that aired. I'll do my best to get it up sometime soon hopefully :)

  • Omg, what's the name of that song starting at 2:15 during the mexico commercial?? I've been looking for that track for YEARS!!

  • Nice! Haha, why did they even think of La Niña in '98? We're getting it this winter though! We just got a dump of snow yesterday!

  • Sweet! Haha, I saw him filling in for Al Dubois on Global during the House premiere in September and I was like, "Holy shit! It's René Brunet!" and kinda scared my friends. That was the first time I'd seen him since he was on TWN.

  • I actually have a news segment w/ him from the weekend report in 1998

  • Holy f***

Half of British columbia is under a T-storm warning!
