Inglourious Basterds, Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited and even longer planned spaghetti war film, has hit our screens in a splash of stylised violence and smooshed Nazis. Earlier this year we caught up with a whole pack of Cannes-based Basterds - including Lawrence Bender, Til Schweiger, Eli Roth, Christoph Waltz, and the mighty Michael Fassbender - to find out what it was like to work with a genuine auteur.

  • Hey it's Leon!

  • Wish I could speak more than one language. I used to speak a little german and I went to germany and tried to speak it, but not only could everyone speak english, they alle figured out I was english sometimes before I'd spoken!

  • @Sevv9220 depending of the country European people (the average) is at minimum bilingual in the south, scandinavians, germans and eastern europeans 4 languages average, one scandinavian knows their native language and understands their neighbor countries say Swedish, Norwegian and Danish, also they regularly learn German or English from primary school therefore they are fluent and professionals like to learn 1 extra language usually french is a matter of survival and business here.

  • His father is German and his mother Spanish, he speaks German, Spanish, English, Catalan and French. He's awesome.

  • @Sevv9220 most of us europeans do ....

  • @DINOLOVER6717 because they are ignorants!

  • @cannoir

What a bullshit. Most french people, who come to Germany don't speak one single word in German AND I DON'T EXPECT THEM TO SPEAK GERMAN. English is the world language, it's good there is one language, that erverybody can understand. If I visit my french friends I speak with them English it's fine this way.

  • Man he is so adorable.

I'm so impressed by how many languages he can speak and how well he can speak them!

He needs to get more credit for that.

Can't believe he is 33 now!

  • He is sooooo handsome!

  • I wish I could speak and German and French fluently...
