Part 1. This is the episode that introduced the dynamic duo, Laverne and Shirley, who would have their own spin-off series later on.

  • When created, Garry Marshall used the name Fonzarelli based on his own real last name Marshalli. Much like his sister's counterpart Laverne DeFazio.

  • LOL that old dude at the grocery store slamming his cart into other women's carts. This is my absolute favorite episode! Laverne and Shirley are more skanky on this episode than they were on their own show.

  • Richie: Your not going to watch me are you Fonz?

Fonz: No I've got my own shoping to do.

    Richie: You Really shop?

Fonz: No little elves bring all that food to my door.

  • this classic episode is so funny!

  • i think laverne and shirley is hilarious XD i think their spin off is a women show though

  • I wouldd sooooo date Potsy!! <3 or Richieee(:

  • @classicphile Henry Winkler looks like he's about to crack up at that part...lol

  • you notice no one knows how to handle cartons of eggs.. you see them in the cart upside down and on their sides ect... doesn't look good great way to brake eggs before you buy them.

  • I liked Laverne and Shirley in their debut episode on Happy Days. the way they played the characters was great.

later when they had their own show. the characters changed slightly then how they played it on Happy Days.

  • Another great episode of a legendary series. I remember watching it when it first aired. Loved it then, and love it now. Especially BEFORE the "jump the shark" point.

What might have made "Happy Days" even better would have been to have more plots revolve around secondary characters, like Howard or Arnold. :-/
