Welcome to another SandwichINK video - http://www.SandwichINK.com - It's time for an update of my senior mom's and my gardening projects. Thanks to the weird weather, traveling, and good ole arthritis pain, they didn't do as great as last year. But they're still great for fun and physical boomer and senior citizen activities for us and lots of fun for the grandkids. The butterfly bush plant is doing well, but not too many butterflies. No real sunflower houses this year. Half a house is more like it. But the sunflowers we do have are lovely and the birds will love them when they are done growing. My Mr Lincoln rose bush may be one of the most fragrant roses out there, but if there are no blooms due to weather issues, that doesn't mean much in the way of a sweet scent.
Fortunately there are other sweet sides to this project, like time well spent with a grandchild, weeding peacefully in the breeze while talking about God and His love for us. That's the kind of thing that makes it beyond worthwhile.
